{"id":90403,"date":"2026-02-28T13:01:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-28T07:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=90403"},"modified":"2026-02-28T15:44:05","modified_gmt":"2026-02-28T10:14:05","slug":"forest-rights-act-cells","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/forest-rights-act-cells\/","title":{"rendered":"Forest Rights Act Cells"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Forest Rights Act Cells Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The central government has decided to expand the mandate of Forest Rights Act Cells (FRA cells) to aid the implementation of the Forest Rights Act, 2006 such cells at the State- and Union Territory-level.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Forest Rights Act Cells<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FRA cells, sanctioned under the <\/span><b>Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyaan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DAJGUA) scheme launched in October 2024.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To provide <\/span><b>technical and administrative support<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without intervening in statutory decision-making.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The State Level <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/forest-rights-act\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>FRA<\/strong><\/a> Cell comprises three hired manpower i.e. <\/span><b>Program Coordinator<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (FRA), IT\/Data\/ Program Expert, and MIS Assistant (FRA).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">District \/Sub-Divisional Level FRA Cell comprises two hired manpower i.e. <\/span><b>Coordinator (FRA) and MIS \/FRA Associate.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Progress:<\/strong> Till now Tribal Affairs Ministry sanctioned 324 district-level cells in 18 States and UTs, and 17 cells at the State level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of Tribal Affairs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Functions of FRA Cell<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To assist in completing the process of <\/span><b>recognition of rights.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Digitization of records, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">preparation of plans for IFR and CFR beneficiaries to avail the benefits of Govt. schemes,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist in <\/span><b>convergence of Forest villages to revenue villages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and to create awareness amongst all stakeholders ensuring effective implementation of FRA.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assisting claimants and Gram Sabhas in preparing claim documents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aiding in collection of necessary evidence and resolutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Helping in digitisation of land records and tracking claim status.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facilitating conversion of forest habitations into revenue villages<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/tribal-affairs-ministry-set-to-revamp-forest-rights-cells-form-one-stop-project-monitoring-units\/article70675681.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">TH<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forest Rights Act Cells sanctioned under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyaan (DAJGUA) scheme launched in October 2024.
