{"id":9080,"date":"2022-10-27T02:39:57","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T21:09:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=9080"},"modified":"2025-03-29T11:08:11","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T05:38:11","slug":"asean-india-ministerial-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/asean-india-ministerial-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"ASEAN-India Ministerial Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About ASEAN-India Ministerial Meeting:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In the meeting, the progress in implementation of various programs and activities under the\u00a0<strong>Medium Term Action Plan of ASEAN-India Cooperation<\/strong>\u00a0(Year 2021-2025) was reviewed.<\/li>\n<li>The meeting also welcomed the\u00a0<strong>30th anniversary of ASEAN-India relations.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the\u00a0<strong>ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration)\u00a0<\/strong>by the\u00a0<strong>Founding Fathers of ASEAN:<\/strong>\u00a0Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.<\/li>\n<li>Brunei Darussalam joined ASEAN in 1984, followed by Viet Nam in 1995, Lao PDR and Myanmar in 1997, and Cambodia in 1999, making up what is today the\u00a0<strong>ten Member States of ASEAN.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>India&#8217;s relationship with ASEAN has emerged as a key cornerstone of our foreign policy.
