This is usually due to a non-cancerous tumour in the pituitary gland (called Cushing\u2019s disease).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Signs and Symptoms<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Weight gain<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> especially around the <\/span><b>abdomen and face<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and develop fat buildup between the shoulders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The skin becomes thin and bruises easily. Wounds may heal slowly.
