{"id":9111,"date":"2022-10-26T03:34:39","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T22:04:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=9111"},"modified":"2025-11-18T17:22:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T11:52:35","slug":"cyclones-upsc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/cyclones-upsc\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyclones"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About Cyclones:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Cyclones are centres of low pressure surrounded by closed isobars and having increasing pressure outwards.<\/li>\n<li>As air enters an area of low pressure from all directions,\u00a0the Coriolis Effect\u00a0bends the direction of the wind to the right of its path.<\/li>\n<li>This creates a counter clockwise rotation around the low and\u00a0convergence\u00a0near the centre of the system.\u00a0As the air collides near the centre it is forced aloft where\u00a0divergence\u00a0takes air away from the centre of the system.<\/li>\n<li>A Cyclone is a system of low level\u00a0convergence\u00a0and high level\u00a0divergence\u00a0with a rising column of air in the centre of the rotating air mass.
