{"id":9150,"date":"2026-05-10T15:35:39","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T10:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=9150"},"modified":"2026-05-11T16:39:20","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T11:09:20","slug":"national-panchayat-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-panchayat-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"National Panchayat Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Panchayat Awards Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the winners of the National Panchayat Awards 2025 (NPA-2025) have been announced by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Panchayat Awards<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is awarded by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Panchayati Raj<\/b> <b>annually <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to recognize and incentivize best-performing Panchayats.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awards are given under the <\/span><b>Incentivization of Panchayats (IoP) scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a central component of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of <\/span><b>Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA).<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Background:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> These awards have been revamped and <\/span><b>launched during the year 2022<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aligning them with 9 <\/span><b>Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> themes <\/span><b>aggregating 17 SDGs.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To assess the <\/span><b>performance of Panchayats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in attainment of SDGs, promote competitive spirit among them and catalyze the process of LSDGs through Panchayati Raj Institutions for attaining LSDGs by 2030.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the Panchayats are ranked based on their performance under each of the following 9 LSGD themes :<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poverty free and enhanced livelihoods Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healthy Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Child Friendly Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water Sufficient Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clean and Green Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self-sufficient infrastructure in Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Socially Just and Socially secured Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Panchayat with Good Governance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Women-Friendly Panchayat<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awards are conferred <\/span><b>under two distinct categories.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Recognises outstanding Gram Panchayats for their performance across 9 Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) themes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (NDSPSVP):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is conferred to the <\/span><b>best-performing Panchayats<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the District, Block, and Gram Panchayat levels <\/span><b>on an overall basis.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2259360&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Panchayat Awards is awarded by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj annually to recognize and incentivize best-performing Panchayats.
