{"id":93860,"date":"2026-03-20T12:51:30","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T07:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=93860"},"modified":"2026-03-20T17:25:29","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T11:55:29","slug":"approved-list-of-models-and-manufacturers-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/approved-list-of-models-and-manufacturers-framework\/","title":{"rendered":"Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) Framework Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has introduced ALMM List-III for ingots and wafers, which will come into effect from the 1st of June, 2028.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) Framework<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>quality-and-reliability framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that ensures <\/span><b>solar equipment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> used in the country&#8217;s solar projects meet the domestic manufacturing standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was introduced under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) Order, 2019.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Features of Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) Framework<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Tier Structure:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ALMM shall consist <\/span><b>of LIST-I,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> specifying models and manufacturers of <\/span><b>Solar PV Modules<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>LIST-II,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> specifying models and <\/span><b>manufacturers of Solar PV Cells and List-III<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> includes <\/span><b>ingots and wafers.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only the models and <\/span><b>manufacturers included in ALMM <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are <\/span><b>eligible for use in Government Projects<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under Government Schemes &amp; Programmes, Net-Metering Projects, installed in the country, including Projects set up for sale of electricity to Government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grandfathering Provisions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Projects already in the pipeline or those with bids submitted <\/span><b>before the cut-off date<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (7 days after the first list is published) are protected to avoid disruption.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Domestic Content Requirement (DCR):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This order reinforces and does not dilute existing DCR provisions under current MNRE schemes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source:<\/b> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsonair.gov.in\/ministry-of-new-and-renewable-energy-extends-almm-framework-to-cover-solar-ingots-and-wafers-from-june-1-2028\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">News On Air<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) framework is a quality-and-reliability framework that ensures solar equipment used in the country&#8217;s solar projects meet the domestic manufacturing standards.
