{"id":94586,"date":"2026-03-24T13:58:41","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T08:28:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=94586"},"modified":"2026-03-24T14:43:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T09:13:25","slug":"micro-and-small-enterprises-cluster-development-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/micro-and-small-enterprises-cluster-development-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises informed the Rajya Sabha about the Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a demand driven <\/span><b>Central Sector Scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to <\/span><b>increase the productivity and competitiveness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><b>Micro and Small Enterprises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MSEs) for their holistic development using a cluster approach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this programme, <\/span><b>the State Government sends proposals for establishment of Common Facility Centers <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(CFCs) and establishment \/up-gradation of Infrastructure Development (ID) projects as per requirements in clusters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objectives<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To <\/span><b>enhance the sustainability and growth of <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/msme\/\" target=\"_blank\">MSEs<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by addressing common issues such as improvement of technology, skills &amp; quality, market access, etc<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To <\/span><b>build capacity of MSEs for common supportive action<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through formation of self-help groups, consortia, upgradation of associations, etc<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To create\/upgrade infrastructural facilities in the new\/existing Industrial Areas\/ Clusters of MSEs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To set up <\/span><b>Common Facility Centres<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (for testing, training, raw material depot, effluent treatment, complementing production processes, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Promotion of green &amp; sustainable manufacturing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> technology for the clusters so as to enable units switch to sustainable and green production processes and products<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are <\/span><b>two components under the scheme viz.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Common Facility Centers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CFCs): Creation of tangible \u201cassets\u201das Common Facility Centers (CFCs) in Industrial Estate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Infrastructure Development (ID):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This component is for development of infrastructure in new\/existing notified Industrial Estate including Flatted factory complexes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Micro, Small &amp;
