The year 2024, which started with a strong El Nino, remains the warmest year, at\u202fabout 1.55\u202f\u00b0C\u202fabove the\u202f1850-1900 average.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Intensification of Extreme Weather Events<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The year 2025 experienced a series of extreme weather and climate events, including heatwaves, droughts, wildfires, floods, and tropical cyclones.
