These include the National AI Skilling Initiative, MyWAVES platform, and the Advanced Electronic Program Guide (EPG) with in-built satellite tuners.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Initiatives for Orange Economy<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>National AI Skilling Initiative<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will help creators build capabilities and achieve their goals in the evolving digital landscape. <\/span><b>MyWAVES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will support the creation of a vibrant digital ecosystem, enabling citizens to create, upload, and share content. <\/span><b>Advanced Electronic Program Guide (EPG) with in-built satellite tuners,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> related to DD Free Dish, adds significant value by allowing citizens to access content without the need for a set-top box, thereby improving reach, especially in remote areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In essence, the first initiative will make people capable, the second will enable expansion of opportunities, and the third will ensure access to content for all.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>National AI Skilling Initiative<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in partnership with Google and YouTube, has announced a national AI skilling initiative to train 15,000 participants from the creative and media sectors.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative is being implemented through the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/indian-institute-of-creative-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\">Indian Institute of Creative Technologies<\/a><\/strong> (IICT).<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to strengthen AI capabilities in areas such as animation, visual effects, gaming, comics (AVGC) and media technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AI skilling programme will be conducted in two phases:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Phase I (March-June 2026)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> focuses on foundational AI learning, including AI Essentials, Prompting, and Generative AI, delivered through Google Career Certificates and Google Cloud learning paths.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Phase II (July-December 2026) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will focus on advanced, hands-on and project-based specialization for the creative industry. The curriculum will include modules on the art of storytelling, YouTube best practices, and advanced training using AI tools such as Gemini 3, Nano Banana, Veo, and Vertex AI. By integrating technology, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/upsc-exam\/skill-development\/\" target=\"_blank\">skill development<\/a><\/strong>, and accessibility, the initiatives reflect a holistic approach to fostering a future-ready media and entertainment sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Orange Economy<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Orange Economy refers to the creative economy that includes industries where value is generated primarily from creativity, culture, technology, and intellectual property.\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It includes media and entertainment, animation and visual effects, gaming, live cultural experiences, and digital content platforms that operate across borders at scale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Globally the<\/b> <b>Orange economy contributes between 0.5 and over 7 percent of GDP,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with live entertainment generating strong spillovers across tourism and urban services. Within this global transformation, India\u2019s creative economy is emerging as a major pillar of growth, employment, and value creation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>In India, the media and entertainment sector is projected to grow from USD 35.3 billion in 2025 to USD 47.2 billion by 2029<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
