the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) and the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) &#8211; TIFR, have developed CALM-Brain.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About CALM Brain<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>first-of-its-kind digital repository<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of data in India <\/span><b>on brain structure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and function from a range of psychiatric disorders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>initiated in 2016<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as part of the <\/span><b>Accelerator program for Discovery in Brain disorders using Stem cells<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ADBS project).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It was jointly funded by the Department of Biotechnology and the Pratiksha Trust.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Goal:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To better understand neuropsychiatric disorders, disease onset, progression, and underlying biological changes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will be made open source, <\/span><b>thereby opening it up for clinicians and researchers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aiming to study neuropsychiatric disorders and to better understand disease onset, progression and underlying biological changes leading to disease symptoms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It collects clinical, neuro-imaging, behavioural, genetic and other datasets on five disorders \u2013 addiction, <\/span><b>bipolar disorder, dementia, obsessive compulsive disorder<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (OCD) and <\/span><b>schizophrenia.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CALM-Brain will help clinicians and researchers<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To understand the onset of neuropsychiatric disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li
