Region.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>What is the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium?<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a voluntary initiative that seeks to <\/span><b>increase maritime cooperation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> among navies of the littoral states of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/indian-ocean\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Indian Ocean <\/b><\/a>Region<b>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It promotes maritime cooperation, mutual understanding, and collaboration on issues such as maritime security and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief
