{"id":96154,"date":"2026-04-02T12:27:34","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T06:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=96154"},"modified":"2026-04-02T12:27:34","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T06:57:34","slug":"yuvika-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/yuvika-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"YUVIKA Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>YUVIKA Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science &amp; Technology highlighted the Government\u2019s sustained efforts to nurture scientific temper among the youth, stating that the Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (YUVIKA).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About YUVIKA Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0YUva VIgyani KAryakram (YUVIKA) is a learning and awareness creating <\/span><b>programme of the ISRO.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It imparts <\/span><b>basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and Space Applications to younger students with a preference to rural areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme is aimed at creating <\/span><b>awareness about the emerging trends in<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> science and technology amongst the youngsters, who are the future building blocks of our nation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is also expected to encourage more students to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research \/career.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Eligibility<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those <\/span><b>who have finished class 8<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and are <\/span><b>currently studying in class 9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can apply for the programme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three students <\/span><b>from each state\/Union Territory<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will participate in this programme every year, covering CBSE, ICSE, and state-board syllabus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The selection is based on <\/span><b>8th Standard academic performance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and extracurricular activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students belonging to the <\/span><b>rural area have been given special<\/b> <b>weightage in<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the selection criteria.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case there is a tie between the selected candidates, the <\/span><b>younger candidates will be given priority.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This programme involves<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>two-week residential programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offered by ISRO.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will include invited talks, experience sharing by eminent scientists, facility and lab visits, exclusive sessions for discussions with experts and practical and feedback sessions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2247868&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>YUVIKA Programme is a learning and awareness creating programme of the ISRO.
