{"id":9643,"date":"2023-04-21T06:35:38","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T01:05:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=9643"},"modified":"2025-03-29T14:34:49","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T09:04:49","slug":"sathi-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/sathi-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"SATHI Portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About SATHI Portal:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Seed Traceability, Authentication and Holistic Inventory (SATHI) portal<\/strong> is a Centralized Online System designed to deal with the challenges of seed production, quality seed identification and seed certification.<\/li>\n<li>It has been developed by <strong>the National Informatics Centre<\/strong> (NIC) in collaboration with the <strong>Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare<\/strong> on the theme of \u2018Uttam Beej \u2013 Samriddh Kisan.<\/li>\n<li>There will be <strong>a QR code under this system<\/strong>, through which the seeds can be traced.<\/li>\n<li>It will ensure a <strong>quality assurance system<\/strong>, and identify the source of seed in the seed production chain.<\/li>\n<li>The system will consist of <strong>integrated 7 verticals of the seed chain<\/strong> &#8211; Research Organisation, Seed Certification, Seed Licensing, Seed Catalogue, Dealer to Farmer Sales, Farmer Registration and Seed DBT.<\/li>\n<li>Seeds with valid certification can only be sold by valid licensed dealers to centrally registered farmers who will receive a subsidy through DBT directly into their pre-validated bank accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Key facts about the National Informatics Centre<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It was established in the year 1976 to provide technology-driven solutions to Central and State Governments.<\/li>\n<li>It works under the <strong>Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology<\/strong> (MeitY).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Q1) What are Gymnosperms?<\/h3>\n<p>Gymnosperms are a group of plants that have naked seeds, meaning their seeds are not enclosed in a protective ovary or fruit.
