{"id":97367,"date":"2026-04-09T12:51:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T07:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=97367"},"modified":"2026-04-09T12:51:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T07:21:09","slug":"arogya-van-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/arogya-van-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Arogya Van Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Arogya Van Initiative Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a new initiative called \u2018Arogya Van.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Arogya Van Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a new initiative to <\/span><b>develop thematic medicinal tree plantations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on vacant land parcels <\/span><b>along the National Highways.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to <\/span><b>enrich biodiversity along the National Highways<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by introducing medicinal tree species that <\/span><b>support pollinators, birds and microfauna<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, thereby strengthening ecosystem resilience.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the first phase an action plan has been formulated covering <\/span><b>17 land parcels<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> along different National Highway projects in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under this <\/span><b>tree species with established medicinal properties<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have been identified and will be planted at land parcels as <\/span><b>per suitability to the respective agro-climatic zones.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Priority:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Priority will be given to land parcels <\/span><b>near toll plazas, wayside amenities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, interchanges, cloverleaf junctions and other prominent stretches along National Highways<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Road Transport &amp; Highways<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleaseDetail.aspx?PRID=2250041&amp;reg=1&amp;lang=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arogya Van Initiative is a new initiative to develop thematic medicinal tree plantations on vacant land parcels along the National Highways.
