{"id":98392,"date":"2026-04-15T13:17:41","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T07:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=98392"},"modified":"2026-04-16T14:25:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T08:55:44","slug":"e-safeher-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/e-safeher-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"e-SafeHER Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>e-SafeHER Initiative Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, C-DAC, Hyderabad, a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India and Reliance Foundation announced the launch of e-SafeHER initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About e-SafeHER Initiative<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>cyber-security awareness training programme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to enable one million women <\/span><b>across rural India.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to <\/span><b>strengthen last mile cybersecurity awareness<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, particularly among women in rural India, who are increasingly engaging with digital platforms for financial transactions, livelihoods and access to essential services.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This initiative is anchored under <\/span><b>Ministry of Electronics &amp; IT (MeitY\u2019s)<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/information-security-education-and-awareness-project\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) programme<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through C-DAC Hyderaba<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Target and Duration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To empower <\/span><b>one million Cyber Sakhis<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in rural India over the <\/span><b>next three years.<\/b><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implementation Strategy<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>C-DAC will lead the development<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, localization, and continuous enhancement of cybersecurity <\/span><b>training content under the ISEA Project.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><b>Reliance Foundation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will leverage its extensive grassroots presence and women\u2019s empowerment platforms across rural India, for delivery through a peer-led, community-based model.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative will be started <\/span><b>first in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and expanded nationwide in a phased manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Key Facts about Information Security Education and Awareness<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is an initiative of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (MeitY), Government of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was <\/span><b>started in 2005<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and currently in its third phase since Oct. 2023 onwards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Purpose:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Generating human resources in the area of Information Security and creating general awareness on cyber hygiene\/cyber security among the masses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is aimed at human resources development for <\/span><b>safe, trusted, and secure cyber space.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2251715&amp;reg=3&amp;lang=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PIB<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>e-SafeHER Initiative is a cyber-security awareness training programme to enable one million women across rural India.
