{"id":9851,"date":"2026-03-01T13:45:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-01T08:15:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=9851"},"modified":"2026-03-01T18:44:23","modified_gmt":"2026-03-01T13:14:23","slug":"football-for-schools-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/football-for-schools-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Football for Schools (F4S) Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>Football for Schools (F4S) Programme Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Minister of State for Education &amp; Development of North Eastern Region distributed football at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, as part of the Football for Schools (F4S) initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Football for Schools (F4S) Programme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is run by <\/span><b>F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Football Association<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (FIFA) in <\/span><b>collaboration with UNESCO.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It aims to contribute to the <\/span><b>education, development and empowerment<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of around 700 million children.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It seeks to make <\/span><b>football more accessible to both boys and girls<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> around the world by incorporating football activities into the education system, in partnership with relevant authorities and stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme has been designed to promote <\/span><b>targeted life skills and competencies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through football and contribute to <\/span><b>the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SDGs) and other priorities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The F4S Programme is aligned with,<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Global sport, education and health policies, including UNESCO\u2019s Kazan Action Plan, the Education 2030: Incheon Declaration and Framework of Action, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Action Plan on Physical Activity (GAPPA).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched in mid-2019 with pilot projects in Puerto Rico and Lebanon.
