{"id":98556,"date":"2026-04-16T14:15:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T08:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=98556"},"modified":"2026-04-16T14:19:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T08:49:27","slug":"national-backward-classes-finance-and-development-corporation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/national-backward-classes-finance-and-development-corporation\/","title":{"rendered":"National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><b>National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) Latest News<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation achieved a record disbursement of Rs 613.75 crore in FY 2025-26, benefiting over 61,000 people.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC)<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><b>Govt. of India undertaking<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the aegis of the <\/span><b>Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NBCFDC was <\/span><b>incorporated <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on 13th January, <\/span><b>1992, under the Companies Act, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1956 (currently a company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013), as a<\/span><b> non-profit entity.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>objective <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the corporation is to <\/span><b>promote economic and developmental activities <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for the benefit of the <\/span><b>backward classes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and to <\/span><b>assist the poorer section of these classes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><b>skill development and self-employment ventures.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>mission <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of NBCFDC is to<\/span><b> provide concessional financial assistance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to eligible members of the Backward Classes<\/span><b> for self-employment ventures and skill development <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">training.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NBCFDC <\/span><b>provides financial assistance through State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) nominated by the State Governments\/UTs and Banks (PSBs &amp;
