.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their broader empire was <\/span><b>considered to be a &#8220;Roman&#8221; empire<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> even though it rarely controlled Rome.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Byzantine Empire flourished and experienced a <\/span><b>&#8220;golden age&#8221;
