


{"id":9930,"date":"2022-10-13T04:11:31","date_gmt":"2022-10-12T22:41:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/?p=9930"},"modified":"2025-03-29T16:19:21","modified_gmt":"2025-03-29T10:49:21","slug":"jayaprakash-narayan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/jayaprakash-narayan\/","title":{"rendered":"Jayaprakash Narayan"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>About:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>He was born on October 11, 1902, in Bihar\u2019s Sitab Diara.<\/li>\n<li>He quit college to join the non-cooperation movement, before going to study at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was influenced by the ideas of Karl Marx.<\/li>\n<li>He returned to India in 1929 and joined the freedom struggle and the\u00a0Indian National Congress, upon the invitation of Jawaharlal Nehru and drawn by a speech by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.<\/li>\n<li>He is one of the founding members of the Congress Socialist Party (CSP).<\/li>\n<li>He is credited for galvanising popular opinion against Indira Gandhi government, through his call for Sampoorna Kranti (Total Revolution).
