400;\">Recently, the union Communications Minister has released revised guidelines for the Technology Development and Investment Promotion (TDIP) Scheme to strengthen the country&#8217;s global telecom presence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About Technology Development and Investment Promotion Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is aimed at strengthening <\/span><b>India\u2019s participation in global telecom standardization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and accelerating the development of indigenous telecom technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Financial Outlay and Duration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u20b9203 crore for the <\/span><b>period 2026\u201331<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been designed as a comprehensive support framework to enable <\/span><b>Indian entities to actively contribute to global standards,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> promote innovation, and enhance India\u2019s competitiveness in next-generation telecommunications technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seeks to <\/span><b>enhance India\u2019s representation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and influence in leading international telecom standardization bodies such as the <\/span><b>International Telecommunication Union (ITU), 3GPP and oneM2M.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Scope:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It expands the scope of the <\/span><b>scheme to include startups, <a href=\"https:\/\/vajiramandravi.com\/current-affairs\/msme\/\" target=\"_blank\">MSMEs<\/a>, academia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, research institutions, telecom service providers and industry players.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Implementation: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will be implemented through <\/span><b>Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI), Telecom Centres of Excellence, India (TCoE) and Telecommunications Consultants India Limited <\/b><span style=\"font-weight:
