During his tenure, he pursued aggressive expansionist policies through the<strong>\u00a0Subsidiary Alliance<\/strong>, which increased British influence in India via military conquests and strategic alliances.<\/p>\r\n<p>Lord Wellesley's policies established British supremacy in India, making him one of the most influential colonial administrators of his era.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Lord Wellesley<\/h2>\r\n<p><strong>Lord Richard Colley Wellesley,\u00a0<\/strong>known as\u00a0<strong>Lord Wellesley,<\/strong>\u00a0born on June 20, 1760, in Dublin, Ireland, was a prominent British statesman.
