Considered to be the most challenging exam in India, IAS constitutes the most prestigious position in this examination. UPSC is responsible for conducting the IAS Exam every year and recruiting candidates to various positions based on the result offered by the Government of India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">IAS Full Form\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The IAS Exam was conducted for the first time in the year 1858 as Imperial Civil Service. In 1950, Indian Administrative Services were established along with other administrative positions. The Union Public Service Commission conducts the exam for this position and the candidates who qualify this exam are appointed by the Union\/State government and assigned different positions at district level. IAS Officers are part of the executive branch of government and counted under permanent bureaucracy. Many aspirants belonging to different states and categories attempt this examination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">IAS Eligibility Criteria<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The eligibility criteria to become an IAS Officer is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Candidate\u2019s Nationality- The candidate has to be an Indian national in order to try and attempt the Indian Civil Service Exam.<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Age Limit \u2013 The minimum age limit to appear for UPSC CSE is 21 years while the maximum age limit is 32.<\/span><\/li>\r\n\t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Educational Qualification \u2013 The candidate must be a graduate from a university registered under or recognised by the Government.
