The Indian Audit and Accounts Services (IAAS)<\/strong> come under the Group \u2018A\u2019 services and officers selected in this group are part of the top and middle management of Indian Audit and Accounts Department. The department is headed by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. This article is going to look into the role, responsibilities, pay scale and career growth of IAAS Officers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Group \u2018A\u2019 cadre services have two main objectives of accounting and auditing for central government, state government and public sector undertakings. The offices are located in US, Malaysia and UK to carry out the auditing for Global Multilateral Organisations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

    Indian Audit & Accounts Service Training\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

    Candidates recruited for the Indian Audit and Accounts Service position begin their training at the National Academy of Audit, Shimla. The training takes place for 1 year 6 months and includes theoretical knowledge learning of all the concepts of government and commercial accounting and auditing. In the next phase of training, the focus is shifted onto practical learning and implementation by visiting government organisations like RBI, Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, IIM Institutes and London School of Economics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n
