The Indian Postal Service (IPoS) is one of the esteemed Group \u2018A\u2019 Civil Service which operates India Post, the world's largest postal network. Established in 1948, IPoS Officers manage various responsibilities, including traditional postal services, banking, e-commerce, and social services like pension disbursement and MGNREGA wages. The service is divided into 22 Postal Circles, from which each circle is headed by a Chief Postmaster General. The Army Postal Service (APS) is a different branch of the Indian Postal Service, handling postal operations for the Armed Forces, led by an officer of Major General rank. The Ministry of Communications, Government of India, is the controlling authority for IPoS.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
