UPSC CSE Admit Card 2024 - Prelims Admit Card Expected Release Date

UPSC Admit Card 2024 is an official document containing the name, roll number, parents’ details, exam centre location and time, etc. The Union Public Service Commission releases the UPSC Admit Card for each stage separately on the official website a few days before the commencement of the exam. All candidates must carry their admit card to appear for each stage of the Civil Services exam - Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

UPSC Admit Card 2024 Expected Release Date

The UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024 will be tentatively released in the first week of June 2024. The exam will take place on 16 June 2024. UPSC Prelims is the first stage of the Civil Services Exam. Those who will clear Prelims, will have to fill out the Detailed Application Form  to be eligible to sit for the Main Examination at the allotted exam centres.

UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024

UPSC usually releases the Prelims Admit Card 2 weeks before the exam date. The details for both the exams, that is, General Studies Paper-1 (9:30-11:30 am) and the CSAT Paper-2 (2:30-4:30 pm), are mentioned on the Admit Card along with the candidates' Roll no. and Examination Center.

How to download the UPSC Prelims Admit Card?

  • Step 1: Go to the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in and select the link for the UPSC Admit Card.
  • Step 2: Click the link to access the UPSC Prelims Admit Card login website on the following page.
  • Step 3: The screen will display the instructions page. Click the checkbox after carefully reading the instructions.
  • Step 4: Fill in your registration number or date of birth to log in.
  • Step 5: Along with the security code, enter your date of birth, registration number, or roll number.
  • Step 6: The screen will show the UPSC Prelims Admit Card. Verify the information on the Admit Card.
  • Step 7: Take a printout for future reference.

UPSC Mains Admit Card 2024

The UPSC Mains Admit card is released almost 2 weeks before the examination commences. The same Admit Card is applicable for all 9 papers in the Mains examination.

The UPSC CSE admit card serves as an important document for identification and verification purposes. It contains essential information such as your name, photograph, signature, registration number, and examination details and acts as proof that you are a valid candidate appearing for the UPSC CSE exam.

Guidelines for filling out the form for the UPSC CSE Admit Card

Some important guidelines to keep in mind while filling out the form for the UPSC admit card 2023 are listed below:

  1. Make sure that all the information that you have filled is accurate. There should be no errors, especially in terms of your name spelling and date of birth.
  2. Mention your correct mail address that is currently operative. Do not use any fancy name while creating your mailing address.
  3. Provide a valid ID proof number. You should have the original copy of the ID proof (which you have mentioned in your admit card) on the day of the examination.
  4. The following ID proofs can be taken along in the UPSC CSE exam along with the admit card: Aadhaar card, Passport, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter Id card(EPIC Card)
  5. A candidate is expected to bring an original copy of a valid photo Id proof along with a UPSC Admit Card.
  6. Candidates applying under reserved categories are also instructed to carry the original copy of their Caste/Disability certificate on the day of the UPSC exam.
  7. Those who have changed their names with due protocol should also take their respective document along with their UPSC exam Admit Card.
  8. Once your form is complete, save the registration number carefully for future reference. You’ll need it once the admit cards are released.

General instructions once you receive your UPSC CSE Admit Card 2024

  1. Check the e-Admit Card carefully and bring discrepancies, if any, to the notice of the UPSC immediately.
  2. Carry your Admit Card hard copy along with the original Photo Identity Card, (whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card) to the examination center to secure admission to the Examination Hall. E-Admit Card must be preserved till the declaration of the final results of the Civil Services Examination.
  3. Candidates who have chosen their own scribe should be aware that they will be permitted to take the Examination only if they have a separate e-Admit Card for such scribe. The e-Admit Cards for the individual scribes will be distributed individually.

UPSC Interview Admit Card

The UPSC Admit card for the interview is released after the Mains exams are successfully conducted, and the results are declared. Once the e-summons are released, the direct link for the same is intimated to the candidates through the official website.

Candidates must note that the Interview call letter is communicated through email. All the candidates who have passed the UPSC Mains stage have to follow the guidelines mentioned in their UPSC CSE e-summon letter.

Where to contact for any discrepancies in the UPSC Admit Card?

In cases of discrepancy, candidates must instantly contact UPSC, the exam conducting authority. You can contact the helpdesk of UPSC from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
