General Studies 2 Years Foundation Course for UPSC CSE 2027 - PCM Fledgling Classroom

After glancing over the extensive UPSC CSE Syllabus, many aspirants have trouble figuring out where to begin. The General Studies Fledgling Comprehensive 2-Years Programme starting February 2025 aims to establish the fundamental knowledge base with all the essential understanding and retention. The Programme will evolve from fundamental to advanced knowledge of General Studies to prepare students for the Prelims & Mains of the Civil Services Exam, as per the UPSC curriculum.

The General Studies Fledgling Programme is split into two years as follows:

• First year of the Programme will have lectures 3-4 days a week and will essentially be focusing on the core General Studies subjects (Indian Politics & Constitution, Geography & Environment, Indian History, Economics, General Science), as well as Current Affairs. This will lay a strong General Studies foundation and aid students in writing numerous competitive exams.
• Second year of the Programme is specifically tailored to the extensive engagement with Civil Service Examination preparation and cover every aspect of the General Studies subjects for holistic Prelim Test and Main Exam.

The General Studies Fledgling Comprehensive 2-Years Programme  for the Civil Services Exam has been thoughtfully curated and has the following distinguishing features, divided into two years:

First-year features include:

• 125 G.S Class lectures by the Vajiram & Ravi’s experienced faculties.
• Additional video lectures on Current Affairs
• 400+ hours of teaching.
• Weekly 3-4 days classes.
• Lecture notes and class handouts by the faculties.
• 6 Printed study materials called Orange Books
• Access to Online Student Portal
• Monthly Current Affairs Magazine – The Recitals
• Weekly MCQ Tests with explanation.

Second-year features include:

• 300 General Studies class lectures.
• 1000+ Hours of teaching delivered by experienced subject specialists.
• Classes are held for 2.5 hours, seven days a week.
• Around 20 Printed Study Materials (called Yellow Books) will be provided as Focused Study Material to specifically address the requirements of Civil Service Examination and entirely cover the comprehensive General Studies subjects for the Prelims and Main exam as per the UPSC syllabus.
• Mains Answer Writing Programme will be provided, with feedback from our experienced evaluators, to help students to develop the art of Answer Writing.
• Access to Prelims Test Series: 30 Prelims Tests of General studies and current affairs will be provided, with explanation.
• Access to Main Exam Test Series: 12 Main Exam Tests (8 sectional & 4 full-length) of General studies, with feedback, model answer & explanatory classes.
• If students qualify the UPSC Main Exam, then they would also be provided with a Free Interview Guidance Programme.

Free Additional 8 Months Mains Support Programme in the form of:

• Online Current Affairs Classes until Main Exam 2026
• Current Affairs content support until Prelims 2027
• Monthly Current Affairs MCQs Test

• Access to Revision classes: All class lectures can also be accessed online by the students.
