Tanvi Sharma produced a dominant performance in the final to secure her first title on the BWF World Tour.

• Tanvi Sharma defeated sixth-seeded Nguyen Thuy Linh, ranked World No. 21, 21–16, 21–16 in 36 minutes.
• The Taipei Open is a BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament, making the victory Tanvi Sharma’s maiden title at this level.
• At 17 years and 222 days, she became the youngest champion in Taipei Open history.
• She became the first Indian woman since Saina Nehwal in 2008 to win the Taipei Open women’s singles title, ending India’s 18-year wait.

• She has been ranked World No. 1 in junior badminton and became the first Indian to win two medals at a single edition of the World Junior Championships, taking silver in girls’ singles and bronze in the mixed team event.
