• NCDs include long-term conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases. These conditions often require regular treatment and long-term interaction with healthcare systems.
• According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 1 in 10 patients experiences harm during healthcare, and about half of this harm is considered preventable.
