The plan focuses on awareness, surveillance, infection prevention, responsible antimicrobial use, research and innovation, and stronger leadership. The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) coordinates its implementation. India has also introduced the Red Line Campaign, which advises people not to use medicines marked with a red vertical line without a doctor's prescription to reduce unnecessary antibiotic use and drug resistance.
