  3. 3. 1 and 3 only
  4. 4. 1, 2 and 3

Answer (Detailed Solution Below)

Option 1: 1 only

Detailed Solution

Explanation:

    • Harike is one of the largest man-made wetlands of northern India which shares its area with the Tarntaran, Ferozpur, and Kapurthala districts of Punjab. It came into existence in 1952 after the construction of a barrage near the confluence of rivers Sutlej and Beas. So, pair 1 is correctly matched.

    • Keoladeo Ghana National Park is situated at the confluence of the Gambhir and Banganga rivers in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, the sanctuary was originally a natural depression prone to seasonal flooding. It was included in the World Heritage List in 1985. It was also notified as Ramsar Site in 1981.  So, pair 2 is not correctly matched.

  • Kolleru Lake is a lake in northeastern Andhra Pradesh. It lies between the Godavari and Krishna river deltas near the city of Eluru. So, pair 3 is not correctly matched.

Therefore, option (1) is the correct answer.
