Akashteer System in Operation Sindoor

In May 2025, following India’s launch of Operation Sindoor aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, Pakistan responded with missile strikes targeting 15 key Indian locations, including Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, and Chandigarh.

In response, India activated the Akashteer System alongside the S-400 Sudarshan Chakra missile defence network. The coordinated defence successfully intercepted and neutralised the majority of incoming missiles within seconds. This marked the first full-scale wartime deployment of AkashTeer, underscoring its critical role in safeguarding national security and validating its strategic importance in modern aerial warfare.
