UPSC Topper 2024 Shakti Dubey Biography

Shakti Dubey comes from the Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh, a city with deep cultural roots and a strong tradition of education where she spent most of her early years, attending school and slowly shaping the path she would take in life.

She went on to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Allahabad, there her interest in science deepened, and she later took it forward with a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), which she completed in 2018. Her academic background reflects not just intelligence, but a consistent work ethic and a deep curiosity about how things work.

But it was around the time she finished her postgraduation that she started to feel a pull in a different direction. While she valued science, she also felt a growing desire to be part of something bigger, something that would allow her to work directly with people, understand their challenges, and play a role in solving them. That’s when she turned her attention to the UPSC CSE Exam 2024.

Starting in 2018, Shakti began preparing seriously for one of India’s toughest competitive exams. It wasn’t easy, but she leaned on the habits and discipline she'd built during her academic years. Long hours, structured study plans, handwritten notes, it became a routine, and over time, a way of life. Today, she stands as an example of how consistent effort, even in the face of challenges, can shape not just a career, but a purpose. Her story is one of transition, from science to service, from the lab bench to the broader aspect of serving the society.
