  2. 2. 2 only
  3. 3. 2 and 3 only
  4. 4. 1, 2 and 3

Answer (Detailed Solution Below)

Option 3: 2 and 3 only

Detailed Solution

Explanation:

  • Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It has two training components, namely, Short Term Training (STT) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). So, statement 1 is not correct.

  • Short Term Training: The Short Term Training imparted at PMKVY Training Centres (TCs) is expected to benefit candidates of Indian nationality who are either school/college dropouts or unemployed. Apart from providing training according to the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), TCs shall also impart training in Soft Skills, Entrepreneurship, Financial and Digital Literacy. Duration of the training varies per job role, ranging between 150 and 300 hours. Upon successful completion of their assessment, candidates shall be provided placement assistance by Training Partners (TPs). So, statement 2 is correct.

  • PMKVY was firstly launched in 2015. It runs and operates under Skill India Mission and aims to align the competencies of the unregulated workforce to the National Skill Qualification Framework. So, statement 3 is correct.

Therefore, option (3) is the correct answer.
