Karnali River Origin, Course and Location

  • Origin: The Karnali River originates in the Tibetan Plateau, near the Mapcha Khambab (Macha-khabab) Glacier in the vicinity of Mount Kailash. It is a snow-fed Himalayan river whose flow is supported by both glacial melt and monsoon rainfall.
