  • Retaliation for Lala Lajpat Rai’s Death – In response, Bhagat Singh and his associates plotted to assassinate James A. Scott but mistakenly killed J.P. Saunders, a police officer, in 1928.
  • Central Legislative Assembly Bombing (1929) – To protest British oppression, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt threw non-lethal bombs in the Central Legislative Assembly, aiming to make their voices heard rather than cause harm.
  • Arrest and Trial – Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev were arrested and tried under the Lahore Conspiracy Case (1929).
  • Execution (March 23, 1931) – Despite massive protests and nationwide support, they were sentenced to death and hanged in Lahore Central Jail. Their martyrdom became a symbol of resistance against British rule.

The sacrifice of these brave leaders remains a powerful source of inspiration, instilling patriotism and courage in generations to come. Their legacy continues to fuel India’s unwavering spirit of freedom and justice.
