UPSC Marathi Literature Optional Syllabus 

UPSC Marathi Literature Syllabus can be divided into two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2 carrying 250 marks each. The Paper 1 of UPSC Marathi Literature Syllabus covers historical and linguistic aspects including development, leading dialects, dominant forms of literature from ancient to medieval times and all the works from the Bhakti movement and medieval and early modern literature. Paper 2 of UPSC Marathi Literature covers modern literary criticism and analysis. The study of Marathi dialects includes regional variations including linguistic features and historical significance.
