The UPSC Prelims 2025 is scheduled for 25th May 2025. This first stage comprises two objective-type papers: General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II (CSAT), with negative marking for incorrect answers.
To qualify for the Mains exam, candidates must score above the cutoff in Paper I, while Paper II is qualifying in nature, requiring at least 33% marks.

The UPSC Mains 2025 exam begins on 22nd August 2025. This descriptive exam consists of nine papers totaling 1750 marks.
