Pongal

  • The most important festival of Puducherry, celebrated every year in January as a four day harvest festival. Freshly harvested rice, milk and jaggery are cooked in a new clay pot and first offered to the Sun God before being shared on banana leaves.

International Yoga Festival

  • Organised annually from 4 January to 7 January, this internationally recognised event promotes yoga and Indian philosophy. Yoga experts from India and abroad conduct demonstrations, discussions and workshops along with Indian classical dance and music performances.

Mother’s Birth Anniversary
